Born and raised in Trujillo, Peru. Worked in Peru as an English as a Foreign Language teacher for a Binational Center for eight years. Worked in elementary and high school level teaching English. Worked at Universidad Cesar Vallejo and Universidad Privada del Norte teaching English to undergraduate students to fulfill their foreign language requirement. Moved to Athens, GA to pursue graduate school in Spanish Linguistics. After graduation, have been working for Romance Languages department first as an Instructor and now as a Lecturer. Worked as a teaching assistant and faculty for UGA in Buenos Aires. Then, have been involved with the UGA in Peru: Medical Spanish program first as a coordinator and now as the SPAN4003 (Medical Spanish) summer faculty. Have served as the SPAN2001 preceptor until 2013 before becoming the SPAN1001 preceptor.
