Prospective Students

Welcome

Graduate students are mentored in the latest research and teaching methods in a dynamic community, leading to fulfilling careers. Full-time MA and PhD students may receive tuition remission and a stipend as graduate teaching assistants. 90% of our graduate students receive additional summer funding for online teaching, study abroad work, or research.

Double Dawgs undergraduates at UGA can also complete an AB and a one-year Masters, see our options here.

Our recent alumni are thriving— at UGA, they now work in offices such as OGE, Faculty Affairs, and the Center for International Trade and Security. In secondary education many rise to leadership roles like Director of World Languages at Hilton Head Preparatory and Dean of Students at Paideia in Atlanta. Others pursue careers in ed tech and industry. Many hold faculty and administrative positions at institutions such as UNC, Morehouse, Spelman, Emory, Brown, UChicago, Georgetown, and Rutgers.
