Ph.D., Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian Literatures and Languages, CUNY Graduate Center, 2014. Doctoral Dissertation: El humanismo cívico en Castilla a mediados del siglo XV: La batalla campal de los perros contra los lobos de Alfonso de Palencia.

With over 20 years of experience, he has taught Spanish language, literature, and culture at various institutions. He has been a Lecturer of Spanish at UGA since Fall 2018, having previously taught at SUNY New Paltz, Sarah Lawrence College, Fordham University, Manhattan College, Lehman College, and Brooklyn College.

His main areas of professional interest include teaching Spanish as a second and heritage language from a student-centered, active learning approach, and Middle Ages and Early Modern Spain (historiography, translation, and history of ideas).
