Assistant Professor of Spanish Linguistics I am a linguist doing work at the intersection of language acquisition, sociolinguistic variation, and bilingualism. Most recently, I have done research on the use and acquisition of tense-aspect morphology, in particular constructions involved in the expression of progressiveness and habituality. I am also interested in the role of research methods in linguistic research, and in this lane one of my ongoing projects revolves around the use of online map tasks for data collection, including written code-switching among Spanish-English bilinguals. My work has appeared in Studies in Hispanic and Lusophone Linguistics, Research Methods in Applied Linguistics, The International Journal of Bilingualism, Spanish in Context, and Spanish as a Heritage Language, among other venues.
